What does “Diamond Etched” mean?You may have seen the term “Diamond Etched” and not known what that means. You’re not alone, even other sellers use this term frequently without knowing (we’re giving them the benefit of the doubt ;). The truth is, Diamond Etching is a specific technique used in engraving designs. Diamond Etched Engraving is also known as “Scratch Engraving” or “Diamond Drag Engraving.” This is because during the engraving process, a diamond engraver drags across the surface of the object to produce the engraved design. Unlike laser engraving or sublimation, the surface of the material is carefully cut into the metal to reveal the underlying aluminum in the engraved pattern. This is by far the most durable engraving style and will never peel or fade like others sometimes do. Simply put, the design will last forever. Does Diamond Etched engraving look different from other engraving methods?1,000% YES! Diamond Etching is much more than just a smooth, flat design printed onto a sign. The image is cut into the metal in such a way that light reflects off of the design. This creates a depth and brilliance that cannot be obtained with laser engraving. Our customers often make comments like, “This is a work of art!”. But how is the quality of the sign itself?We use only the highest quality aluminum for our signs. They are weatherproof, rust proof and made from .040 aluminum. This material has been used outdoors in the sign industry for decades and is able to withstand the harshest of weather conditions. We are so confident in the quality of our product that we offer a 3 year manufacturer warranty! **Important note**By far our biggest challenge with custom orders is getting the feedback/approval from the customer in a timely fashion. We do everything we can to create a fast turnaround time but we can’t make this happen without your help. We will send a proof of your design by Ebay message the next business morning after purchase. Please check your messages and let us know if you’d like to make any changes. Ebay docks us if we don’t get things out in time so your help with this is very much appreciated. At times we share some of the custom signs we make for marketing purposes. We may even decide to use some of the more general ones as new product offerings.
