Stop signs in this era were yellow and black, beginning with the first U.S. national highway sign standards in 1927. The US changed to the familiar modern red-and-white sign in 1954, with many other countries following suit.
This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
